Douglas Sams of the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that Atlanta added 31,960 technology jobs over the past five years, as it continues to grow as a tech hub. The numbers come from CBRE Group Inc.’s latest report which ranks Atlanta as the nine-largest city in North America to attract tech talent.
The reasons why:
- Housing affordability compared to wages.
- An educated workforce, with over 53% of the population having a BA or higher.
- A growing millennial population.
What follows employment? Home purchases, which is why millennials are a driving force in our current housing shortage.
