Homeowner and Designer Work Together to Get a Home Picture-Ready

 

My fabulous client and her creative designer, Kendle Campbell, did everything possible to prepare this beautiful home to be photo shoot ready. Their work paid off. With plenty of showings as soon as the home was listed, an attractive offer was received within 48 hours of listing. Pictures draw buyers into your home but updates in important areas such as kitchens and baths appeal to buyers who want move-in ready.

A kitchen that opens to the family room is always a buyer magnet. All furniture, carpets and paint were neutralized. Kitchen cabinets were a dark wood color and were painted to make the kitchen lighter, brighter and appear larger. Counter tops were updated with granite and stainless steel appliances replaced old ones.

The dining room was another room where plantation shutters were the only window treatment which created a modern, bright feel. Walls were painted a creamy color and decoration was kept to a minimum.wenlock edge dr
Walls and linens in the master bedroom were neutralized and windows are free of dated window treatments. Depersonalization allowed potential buyers to see the rooms without distraction.

Neutral linens and light walls instantly updated and visually enlarged this secondary bedroom. All unnecessary accessories were removed for a clean, streamlined look.

The master bath had been recently updated with new counter tops and fixtures and fresh paint on cabinets and walls. Kendle’s choices were affordable and appealing. All personal items were removed giving the appearance of a model home.

This sleek terrace level room was a clean canvas allowing buyers to be able to mentally place their furniture.

The homeowner enthusiastically de-cluttered and streamlined. Kendle picked fresh colors, fixtures and fabrics which made this beautiful home show its best qualities. It was a very efficient investment.
