Is your house looking a little drab? Let’s put some life into it. In a previous post I told how orchids can brighten your space. Today we’ll add a little fire, a soft texture, and a pretty pattern wit a pop of color.
I love them! It warms a space visually and fills your home with a subtle scent. Here are some of my favorites.
Roland Pine from Soap and Paper Factory is soy-based for clean, soot-free burning, and is available at Belle Choses and Gramercy.
Thymes candles are available everywhere, including, Ace Hardware, Peridot, Paper Affair, Love Street. The Eucalyptus scent is also very woodsy.
Votivo candles are made of soy in Spartanburg, South Carolina. I love to reuse the simple, sturdy glass after its candle burning days are done. Votivo is a great value, and can be found at Paper Affair, Ace, and Peridot.
I’ve written about the wonders of West Elm throws many times before and have two in my house. They are beautiful, soft, come in a wide range of colors, AND they are so affordable.
Drape them over a chair or sofa to soften a space and add some color. Fold and place at the foot of a bed for a finished look.
Add a fun pop of color to your sofa, chair or banquette. My go to source for fun pillows in trendy fabric with a minimal cost commitment is Etsy. Here are some great vendors. You head may be spinning when you see all of the options available, but it will be worth it I promise.
Adding some life to your home now will get you ready for spring, and as always, help you to love your house now so it will be easier to sell later.
