I Was Just in a House with a Musty Basement. How Does Your’s Smell?

Once again, I showed a house today in which the basement had a musty smell that could have been eliminated with a dehumidifier running. I recommend them for most basements that are connected to a crawl space. By removing excess moisture from your air that musty smell and environment for mold growth is reduced. They can be easily purchased at Home Depot or Lowe’s for around $200, depending on the size, and can be arranged so that they drain to a floor drain, sump pump or condensate line so that you are not emptying the bucket constantly in these humid Atlanta summers.
