Do You Have a Damp Basement?

Posted by

Atlanta homes have a tendency to have damp basements. With all of the rain we’ve had over the weekend, it’s a good time to realistically evaluate your basement for moisture issues. I always recommend that a dehumidifier is constantly running to pull moisture out of the air and reduce the possibility of mold developing. This is especially true if you have an older house which was built when waterproofing during construction wasn’t up to current day standards

Believe me, smelling a house is the first thing buyers do when they walk in the front door. It sets the tone for the rest of the showing and has made many buyers turn around and leave, particularly if they have sensitivity to mold.
